ISLAMABAD, Feb 29: The Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Authority (Erra) will provide a sum of Rs1.8 billion, out of the Presidential Relief Fund, to the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government for the implementation of the Muzaffarabad City Development Plan.

This was agreed in a meeting between senior officials of Erra, AJK government and the State Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Authority (Serra), according to a press release issued here on Friday.

The amount will be spent on 81 public service projects in Muzaffarabad city, which include roads and other basic civic facilities.

The meeting was also attended among others by Chief of Staff/Director General Housing Erra Brig Waqar Iqbal Raja, AJK CS Javed Majeed, Serra director general and Development Authority Muzaffarabad chairman.
