KARACHI, Feb 26: Agha M. Ibrahim produced an all-round display as holders Karachi University chalked up an overwhelming 63-19 victory over Iqra University in the final to retain the Inter-university Zone F basketball title at the UBL Sports Complex the other day.

The KU, who were jittery in the beginning and could only lead 12-6 and 9-4 in the first two quarters for an overall 21-10 lead at half time, recovered to score at repeated intervals in the post interval session.

They added 21-4 and 21-5 in the last two quarters to seal the fate 63-19.

Ibrahim stood tall for the victors with a solo contribution of 21 points to his credit. Adnan (9) and Habibullah (8) were the other major scorers. Hasan Ali scored 7 for the losers.

Both the finalists have already qualified for the final rounds being played at Punjab University, Lahore, from March 5.

The Karachi University, who secured third position in the final round last year, leave for Lahore on Monday.
