Bandits kill three passengers

SHIKARPUR, Feb 23: A man was killed on the spot and two others died in hospital when armed highwaymen fired on a wagon near Sultankot on Shikarpur-Jacobabad road in the jurisdiction of Sultankot police station late on Friday night.

Reports said that eight armed men opened fire on the wagon carrying passengers from Shikarpur to Thull when its driver ignored their signal to stop and tried to speed past them.

Sudheer Ahmed Shaikh of Hamayoon died on the spot while Javed Ahmed Shaikh of Thul and Zahir Khan Pathan of Landi Kotal suffered serious injuries.The injured were referred to Larkana Civil Hospital after having been provided first aid at Shikarpur Civil Hospital but they died before getting any treatment.—BoC
