ISLAMABAD, Feb 23: A sub-inspector of the city police was suspended for occupying an official residence here on Saturday, police said.

According the police, the sub-inspector at the Kohsar police station occupied the house allotted to Khalid Mehmood Khan.

Mr Mahmood lodged a complaint with the Kohsar police and an inquiry was initiated against the police official. The police also got the house vacated from the accused.

Later the sub-inspector was suspended and transferred to the Police Line Headquarters for further legal action.

The police said the accused had already an official residence but he also occupied the house in Sector F-6/1, which was empty for the last couple of weeks.
