PESHAWAR, Feb 22: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) NWFP Peshawar filed a reference against former deputy director National Highways Authority (NHA) Muqarab Khan for acquiring assets beyond his known sources of income.

The reference was filed after the completion of investigation into his sources of income and acquired property.

The NAB unearthed property worth Rs7.664 million, which he had acquired through illegal means. Present market value of the property is Rs10.884 million.

The accused joined service in 1988 and got promoted to the rank of assistant/ deputy director. He served in various offices of NHA during his service.

National Accountability Bureau NWFP Peshawar has completed its investigation against Muhammad Ashraf, deputy director W&S Department, Peshawar for acquiring assets beyond known sources of his income.

During investigations, it revealed that accused Muhammad Ashraf joined service in 1979 and got promoted to the post of executive engineer in 2001.
