KARACHI, Feb 22: Six ships carrying containers, coal and DAP fertiliser are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where five ships, Soon Fu, Hanjin Chittagong, Calvin P. Titus and Ninth Ocean to unload and load containers and Bengal Orchid, a tanker.

Sailing was also active as nine ships, Hyundai Sprinter, Hellene Rickmers, Filippa, Soon Fu, Chitral, Banga Lanka, Bodar, Splendour and Atlantic Leader departed on Friday, while Calvin P. Titus, Bengal Orchid, Hanjin Chittagong and Ninth Ocean are due to sail out on Saturday.

A total tonnage of 0.122m tons comprising 31,838 tons of export cargo and 90,306 tons of import tonnage was handled on Friday.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Oel Shreyas, Sima Sahba, Y.M. Moji with containers, Nats Emperor with 29,993 tons of DAP fertiliser and Lisa-J with coal.
