KARACHI, Feb 20: Three ships carrying containers and chemicals were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, another vessel with palm oil also arrived at the outer anchorage. Berth occupancy was maintained at 60 per cent at the wharves where six ships, Denisse, Nedlloyd Europa, Gemini, Summer Fortune, Rio Gold and Qem Star, were busy in loading and unloading containers, palm oil, wheat and chemicals and oil.

A cargo volume of 56,153 tons comprising 46,889 tons of import and 9,264 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailing was active as Maersk Carolina and Liquid Success left the port while Denisse, Nedllyd Europa and Qem Star were due to depart.
