Ex-ministers defeated

FAISALABAD, Feb 18: Two former ministers Wasi Zafar and Mushtaq Cheema and Punjab Assembly deputy speaker Afzal Sahi were losing till the filing of the report at 1.50am.

Akram Ansari of PML-N won NA-85 by securing 72,097 votes, defeating Shakeel Ansari of PPP who bagged 49,661 votes.

According to 74 polling station results in NA-75, Tariq Bajwa of PPP was leading with 14,881 votes against Ghulam Rasool Sahi of PML-Q (10,224).

In 60 polling stations of NA-76, Rai Salauddin of PML-N had polled 11,366, Nawab Sher Waseer of PPP (10,430), Zahid Nazeer of PML-Q (8,655) and former law minister Wasi Zafar (independent) could obtain only 1,868 votes.

In NA-77 (154 polling stations), Asim Nazeer of PML-Q was leading with 37,251 votes, Talal Chaudhry of PML-N got 25,640 and Sajjad Awan of PPP 13,907.

In 200 polling stations of NA-78, Raheela Perveen of PPP bagged 48,697 votes and Rajab Ali Baloch (PML-Q) 30,672.
