Clarification

Published February 15, 2008

With reference to a news report published in Dawn on Thursday, the Overseas Pakista-nis Foundation has clarified that perks and privileges being availed of by OPF officials, including the managing director, are as per their entitlement granted by the OPF board of governors headed by the federal Minister for Labour, Manpower and Overseas Pakistanis.

The OPF managing director is not empowered to determine his own perks and privileges.

The Overseas Pakistanis Foundation also says that appointment of Mr Abrar-Un-Nabi had been made purely on merit in a transparent manner and he is being paid as per the prevailing market rates commensurate with his qualifications and experience.
