Teams for Jr, Fed Cup named

LAHORE, Feb 12: A three-member boys’ team comprising Hera Aashiq, Saddan-ul-Haq (son of former Davis Cupper Inam-ul-Haq) and Faizan Khurram (cousin of Pakistan’s top tennis player Aisam-ul-Haq) has been selected to take part in the Davis Cup for Under-16 players to be held in Malaysia from Feb 24 to 29.

Former Davis Cupper Rashid Malik will be accompanying the team as coach.

A three-member girls’ team to play in the Fed Cup, also to be held in Malaysia on the same dates, will be picked from four players, namely, Natasha Afridi, Ushna Sohail, Mehak Khokhar and Mehreen Izhar after the trials on Feb 15.
