MULTAN, Feb 12: A female voter’s name has been enrolled thirteen times in the official list while 250 voters don’t have their identity card numbers on it.

The computerised list of the voters belonging to Sher Shah Darbar Union Council No94 contains a total of 1,639 names, out of which 109 male and 146 female voters have been enrolled without their identity card numbers.

The list also bears the name of a female voter, shamim Akhtar, with the same guardian name, under serial numbers 108, 565, 610, 648, 660, 695, 779 and 784, while the name, with slight variation (Shamim Begum) again appears in the list under serial Nos 260, 276, 292, 617 and 718.

Similarly, the name of the wife of a Pakistan Muslim League-Q candidate for provincial assembly, Makhdoom Syed Abbas Akabr alias Mooni Shah has been enrolled twice with two different identity card numbers in the voters’ list sorted by the Pakistan Election Commission.
