Hospital rooms vacated for repair

TOBA TEK SINGH, Feb 11: Engineers of works and services department on Monday examined the DHQ hospital building and got vacated some rooms which required extensive repair.

A few days ago doctors had decided not to examine patients in wards after a concrete structure from the roof of the children’s ward had fallen down when child specialist Dr Farhan Javed was examining the patients. The doctor and the patients had luckily escaped unhurt.

Later, medical superintendent Dr Sikandar Mujahid had written to district officer (buildings) Ajmal Kaleemullah who deputed engineers for examination.

On Monday, Mr Kaleemullah in his report said: “Although the structure is weak yet the building is not unsafe for the use of both doctors and patients. Any dangerous area of the building will be notified as and when observed, however necessary repair of the roofs is being taken up.”

ELECTION SUPPORT: Pir Fraz Qadri, Sajjada Nasheen of Darbar Qadir Bakhsh Sharif of Kamalia, has announced his support for PML-N candidate for PP-87 Begum Nazia Raheel Gujjar.

In this regard a rally was brought out from Darbar to Kamalia town which was attended by scores of people.

Pir Fraz had already announced his support for PPP aspirant for NA-94 Haider Khan Kharal instead of the PML-N ticket-holder.
