SUKKUR Feb 10: Dozens of Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam activists held a demonstration outside the press club here on Sunday in protest against an attack on JUI candidate for PS-16 seat (Karampur) Mir Asghar Bijarani on Saturday. The protesters gathered at the press club and chanted slogans against the rival People’s Party candidate.

Speaking on the occasion, their leaders strongly condemned the attack on Mir Asghar Bijarani and blamed the PPP for the attack and demanded immediate arrest of culprits.

They said that following the killing of PPP chairperson Benazir Bhutto, PPP leaders and workers, taking advantage of people’s sympathy, were trying to terrorise their opponents through such acts.
