EU team in Jacobabad

JACOBABAD, Feb 9: A team of European Union election observation mission in Pakistan comprising Mr John and Ms Egle Zalekiene along with Nasrullah Kolachi arrived in Jacobabad and visited the Community Development Foundation (CDF) office here on Saturday.

They met office-bearers of the CDF and sought information about the election process, law and order situation in the district.

Secretary CDF Jan Odhano briefed them. He informed the observers that maintenance of law and order on the polling day will be the main problem.

He said that around 50 per cent of women do not have CNIC in rural areas and turnout of voters in the district is below 30 percent.
