Postal ballots delivery questioned

MITHI, Feb 9: The PPP candidates have alleged delivery of postal ballots of government employees at the residence of a post master instead of at the post office.

According to press release issued on Saturday by the PPP candidate for NA-229, Mahesh Kumar Malani and for PS-61, Pesumal Akrani, the postal ballots of government employees despatched by the returning officer on Friday to relevant employees through Post Office Mithi instead were delivered at the residence of post master, relative of former Sindh Chief Minister Arbab Ghulam Rahim, and later sent to the local PML-Q office.

They further alleged clerks of Education Department of faking signatures of 3,300 employees of their department on application forms for supply of postal ballot papers and same tactics was applied for PML-Q candidates.
