GUJRAT, Feb 9: PML-Q head Chaudhry Shujaat Husain, who is contesting election from NA-105 Gujrat, on Saturday set about defending himself on various issues and spelled out his mission of “implementing the teachings of Islam instead of foreign agendas.”

“I have always tired to settle national issues like Waziristan, Balochistan and Lal Masjid. For those who are blaming me for the Lal Masjid operation, I can only pray for their guidance and adherence to truth,” he said while addressing a public meeting held at Jalalpur Jattan in connection with the election campaign of his brother, Chaudhry Wajahat Husain for NA-104.

Saying that he was not convinced of blaming his opponents (whosoever he is), he claimed that he believed in “politics of principles” and that some defiants had been creating negative impression about the PML-Q abroad.
