LANDI KOTAL, Feb 7: The Khasadar force on Thursday morning arrested two people and seized a huge quantity of explosives from their vehicle at the Enzari checkpost in Jamrud near the Afghan border.

The political administration of the Khyber Agency said personnel of the Khasadar force had seized 10 packets of explosive powder from the jeep of the accused.

The names of the arrested people, residents of Malagori area, were not disclosed. They were taken to an undisclosed location for interrogation.

Local people said the powder seized from accused was usually used in preparing dynamites for use in marble mines in the nearby hilly areas.

However, the Khasadar personnel said the detainees would be freed after proper interrogation.
