LANDI KOTAL, Feb 5: Five young businessmen belonging to a noted family of Jamrud tehsil have been missing since January 31, sources said.

Scions of the Al-Haj family, Momin Khan, Feroz Shah, Muhammad Amin, Mohammad Ishfaq and Akhtar Amin had been seen for the last time in their vehicle in Qambarabad locality of Bara tehsil on Jan 31.

Their vehicle was found abandoned in a deserted place the next day. Nobody has so far claimed responsibility for the disappearance of the five men.

The Al-Haj group supplies huge quantity of oil to Afghanistan. The group also owns automobile and fabric business besides a major share in transport business.

Though the relatives have filed a report with the Bara political administration, family sources are so far tight lipped about the issue. It was, however, learnt that the family had contacted Mangal Bagh, the self proclaimed amir of Lashkar-i-Islam for the recovery of missing men. The Bara political administration, on their part too is so far clueless about the high-profile kidnapping of the five young businessmen.
