PESHAWAR, Feb 3: Raiding parties have been formed by the capital city police officer to trace the people running illegal FM channels in parts of the city.

Police claimed to have unearthed such a channel which was operating in the jurisdiction of Gulbahar police station. Those who were running the radio station were arrested. The accused were identified as Maulana Khlilur Rehman, resident of Gulbahar, Maulana Yousuf of Faqirabad and Abdul Basit.

All relevant equipments were taken into custody by the local police. A spokesman for police said the raiding teams comprised officials of the intelligence wing of police.
