KARACHI, Feb 2: Open trials to pick Pakistan under-16 and under-14 tennis teams for upcoming international assignments will be held from Feb 9 to 12 at Islamabad’s Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) Complex, the PTF announced on Saturday.

The U-16 team will vie for honours in juniors’ Davis Cup pre-qualifiers in Malaysia from Feb 22 to 27 while the U-14 squad will make its presence felt in the world juniors’ tennis pre-qualifying event that runs from Feb 24 to March 2, also in Malaysia.

According to the PTF, players who are born during 1992-1995 are eligible to compete in the U-16 trials while the U-14 category is restricted for players born during 1994-1997.

Players who are interested to appear in U-16 trials have been asked to report at the venue at 10am on Feb 7 while the U-14 players should report on Feb 10.

Only those players are eligible for the trials who have valid passport for six months. Bone test will be carried out, if required, to determine age of the players.
