LAHORE, Feb 1: Robbers shot dead a labourer and injured his cousin in Shafiqabad on Friday.

Asghar Ali, along with his father, was going to receive his cousin, Irshad, from a bus stop where he saw two robbers holding him up. The robbers opened fire on them when Asghar tried to overpower them. He and Irshad suffered serious injuries and were taken to hospital where Asghar died while the condition of Irshad was stated to be critical.

In another incident, a man allegedly shot dead his brother-in-law over a domestic issue in Sattukatla.

Police said Shaukat Ali had a dispute with his brother-in-law, Shafi. On Saturday, following a quarrel over the issue, Shafi opened fire on Shaukat, killing him on the spot.

SUICIDE: A 15-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide in Raiwind on Saturday.

The parents of Sumera reportedly admonished her over some issue. She locked herself in a room and strangulated herself. The police handed over the body without autopsy.
