PESHAWAR, April 9: The Peshawar police have arrested 112 accused and eight proclaimed offenders and seized a large quantity of narcotics and weapons during the last 48 hours.

Sources informed here on Monday that the police had arrested 112 accused during road blockades at various city localities and arrested eight proclaimed offenders wanted by police in murder and attempt murder cases. They included Noor Mohammad, son of Taj Mohammad; Khaiwa Din, son of Sharifud Din; Inayat, son of Nasrullah; Younas Khan, son of Aqil Khan; Rustam, son of Mujahid; Khalid, son of Waris; Jameel and Sher Zaman.

The police also seized a kalakov, 3 kalashnikovs, 3 rifles, 12 shotguns, 12 pistols, 1076 cartridges, 26kg of hashish and 25kg of liquor from the possession of the accused.
