Four power pylons blown up

Published January 31, 2008

QUETTA, Jan 30: Four power pylons were blown up near Goth Mazari on the Balochistan-Punjab border early on Wednesday, disrupting power supply to the entire Dera Bugti district.

The affected areas included Sui town and Pirkoh and Loti gas fields.

Officials said that the high-tension transmission line was being repaired and the supply would soon be restored.

A spokesman of the ‘Baloch Revolutionary Army’, who identified himself as Sarbaz Baloch, telephoned some local journalists and claimed responsibility for the blowing up of the pylons.
