Indian firing continues

SIALKOT, April 8: Indian security forces continued intensified firing on border villages in Chhumb Joriyaan (Gujrat), Bajwat, Charwa, Sucheetgarh, Jammu, Akhnoor, Saamba and Shakargarh-Narowal sectors of the Sialkot working boundary, disrupting sowing of crops.

No causality was reported.

TWO CRUSHED: Two labourers on Monday were crushed to death by a speeding wagon (RIR-615) on the Pasrur-Narowal Road, Pasrur.

Lal Hamid and Abdul Hamid were crossing the road when the accident occurred. They died on the spot.

Pasrur police have registered a case against the absconding driver.

SHOT DEAD: A youth was shot dead on Monday by a notorious proclaimed offender over an old enmity at Zafarwal village of Shakargarh tehsil, Narowal district.

Abid Ali was sitting on the ground when PO Arshad alias Achhu came there and opened fire on him, killing him instantly. The accused escaped by firing in the air.
