KARACHI, Jan 26: The ISPR said on Saturday that a story headlined “US to enhance training for Pakistani troops” carried by Dawn in its Friday edition “created an impression” that the US-led forces might operate inside Pakistani territory.

An ISPR spokesman said: “The Pakistan Army has been interacting and benefiting for the past many years from the experience of allied armed forces in counter-insurgency and counter-terrorism operations.”

However, the spokesman said, there was no “possibility of positioning coalition forces in Pakistan or operating along with Pakistan armed forces inside our territory”.
