RAWALPINDI, Jan 26: An anti-terrorism court here on Saturday sent a terror suspect to the Adiala jail on a 14-day judicial remand after the police said they had completed their preliminary investigation.

Producing the suspect Abdul Ghafoor alias Umair before the judge Chaudhry Habibur Rehman, the SHO of Saddar Talagang did not ask for more physical remand.

The Saddar police said they arrested the accused on January 15 along with eight kg of explosive material. The police said the suspect was planning to attack a Muharram procession in the city.

Meanwhile, a bailiff of the district and sessions court recovered a woman from the house of her husband in Chontra and handed her over to her mother.

Sakina Bibi had filed a complaint with the court seeking custody of her daughter Rukhsana Bibi, saying her husband had kept her in detention and was not allowing her to meet her parents.

The court directed the complainant to appear before the court along with her daughter on January 31.
