NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Jan 24: An eight-member delegation of Pakistan People’s Party activists started on Thursday their walk on foot to Garhi Khuda Bux to offer fateha at the grave of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto.

A large number of party workers and leaders including Syed Ghous Ali Shah and Abdul Haq Bhurto saw off the delegation comprising Ghulam Mustafa, Shaman Tagar, Imdad Solangi, Rizwan Soomro, Sarfaraz Memon and Zaheer.

Meanwhile, Haji Khan Bhatti, a PPP candidate for PS-19 and labour leader, held fateha for Shaheed Bhutto and a public meeting at Pir Nawal Ghoot ground on Wednesday.

STRIKE: More than a 100 tail-end growers of Gul minor observed an eight-hour token hunger strike in Kandiaro on the third consecutive day on Thursday in protest against the irrigation department accusing the officials of depriving them of their share of water.

Led by Ali Nawaz Ghanghro, Khalid and Ghulam Nabi, they demanded regular supply of water to the tail-end growers.
