SIALKOT, Jan 23: An Italian girl on Wednesday embraced Islam and later married a Muslim boy in a simple ceremony at a mosque in Bhopalwala locality near Daska.
Ghulam Murtaza was living in Italy for the past several years where a Christian girl Lochiya developed friendship with him. She also developed interest about Islamic teachings and later started learning Islamic rituals.
Around two weeks ago, Murtaza brought Lochiya to his home in Bhopalwala. On Wednesday, she embraced Islam and was renamed as Fiza.
Fiza later married Murtaza at a simple ceremony in the presence of notables at the same mosque.
