Ishtiaq slams century

KARACHI, Jan 22: Ishtiaq-ur-Rehman hammered a brilliant century to steer KCCA Zone-IV to 267 on the opening day of their two-day Karachi region Inter-district Under-19 Cricket Championship match against Zone-III at the Pak Star Ground on Tuesday.

Ishtiaq struck 12 boundaries in scoring 139 off 202 balls and Shiraz Ahmed hammered eight fours and one six in making 71.

Paceman Hasban Ahmed bowled superbly to claim six wickets for 59 runs in 26.2 overs.

Zone-III, in reply, were six for no wicket in two overs.—APP
