Pakistan draw against India

LAHORE, Jan 21: A second-half goal from Mohammad Taufiq enabled Pakistan to earn a 1-1 draw against India in the eight-nation Men’s Junior hockey tournament in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

According to information received here on Monday, Pakistan were 1-0 down after the Indians capitalised on a goalmouth melee in the 10th minute and kept the lead intact till half time.

In the second half, Pakistan managed to restore the parity when Taufiq found the net in the 45th minute. Reserve goalkeeper Imran Butt represented Pakistan in place of Mohammad Khurram, who had conceded five goals against Germany.
