NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Jan 21: About 150 tail-end growers of Gul Minor (canal) took out a procession and staged a three-hour sit-in on Mohabbat Dero-Kandiaro road near Fazal Mohammad Sehto village on Monday.

They complained that they were being deprived of their due share of water by the irrigation department since long as a result their land had turned barren. They alleged that the irrigation officials were selling their share to big landlords.

They further alleged that funds for desilting of the canal were being misused as the irrigation officials had not started the work as yet. They said that they had made several complaints to the SDO and the engineer concerned but to no avail.
