Man killed on road

ISLAMABAD, Jan 17: A man died after his motorcycle slipped during rain here on Thursday, police said.

Mohammad Mumtaz, 33, met with the accident at Fatehjang Road and suffered multiple injuries. Later, he was shifted to nearby hospital where doctor pronounced him dead.

Meanwhile, burglars broke into a house and made off with gold ornaments worth Rs0.5 million, police said here on Thursday.

Malik Khalid Farooq lodged a complaint with Industrial Area police stating that some unidentified burglars broke into his house at I-9/1 and made off with gold ornaments worth Rs500,000.

In another incident an official vehicle (Pajero) bearing registration number IDJ-245 of Mumtaz Razi, official of CBR was stolen from F-10.
