MIRPURKHAS: Court boycott

MIRPURKHAS, Jan 17: Lawyers boycotted courts’ proceedings on Thursday and took out a rally on the premises of the district courts in protest against the detention of judges and lawyers.

They demanded arrest of the culprits behind Ms Benazir Bhutto’s assassination and urged the government to release the detained lawyers and judges and restore democracy as well as freedom of judiciary.

The protest was led by Mirpurkhas District Bar Association President Salahuddin Panhwar.
