SWAT: Security forces foiled an attempt to blow up one of their caravans in the Nangolai area on Wednesday.

Official spokesman Col Mohammad Nadeem said that the caravan was going Matta when a device planted on the road was blown up with remote control.

The forces cordoned off the area and arrested a number of suspected militants.

The explosion was so severe that it was heard at a long distance. The security forces responded with firing in the air.—APP
