STRASBOURG, Jan 16: The European Union raised concerns on Wednesday about the conditions for an upcoming election in Pakistan, urging President Pervez Musharraf to do everything necessary for a fair vote.Pakistan must “do everything to guarantee adequate security conditions” needed for “free and fair elections,” said Janez Lenarcic, secretary of state for EU affairs in Slovenia, which currently holds the EU presidency.—AFP
