NOWSHERA: Pabbi declared as tehsil

NOWSHERA, Jan 16: NWFP Caretaker Chief Minister Shamsul Mulk declared his native town, Pabbi, as a tehsil of Nowshera district on Wednesday, fulfilling a longstanding demand of the people.

The decision was announced by the chief minister at a jirga of Khattak Nama of Nowshera that called on him at the Frontier House in Peshawar on Wednesday.

The jirga led by an adviser to the chief minister, Hussain Ahmad Khattak, comprised prominent political figures and elite of the area.

The chief minister directed the concerned quarters to submit the PC-I for approval to fulfill all the pre-requisites of a tehsil.
