THATTA, Jan 15: Hashim Wario, a mason, who had died 12 years ago in Mirpur Sakro, has been implicated in a case of subversion by Mirpur Sakro police.

SHO Mohammad Yaqoob Bhatti, who had been suspended under the directives of the Hyderabad RPO for lodging concocted FIRs against the PPP activists, reportedly at the instigation of PPP’s rival group, had lodged the FIR no. 4/07 against the deceased Hashim. The district police head has ordered deletion of the deceased name, implicated in the subversion case.

The case was lodged following the riots that broke out after the assassination of Benazir Bhutto.—Iqbal Khwaja
