QUETTA, Jan 15: The Provin-cial Selection Board has recommended names of over 500 officers and government employees for promotion to higher grades.

A meeting held here on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary K. B. Rind, reviewed the cases of employees belonging to various departments. Sources said that the meeting finalised names but a final list would be issued after approval from higher authorities.

They said notifications for the promotions would be issued by the respective departments after approval by caretaker Chief Minister Sardar Mohammad Saleh Bhootani. In previous meetings, the board had recommended names of over 6,000 employees for promotions to next grades.—Staff Correspondent
