Pakistan CC, Rafiq Sherazi win

KARACHI, Jan 14: Pakistan Cricket Club players Shaharyar Ghani and Irfanuddin set up a massive 181-run victory over Delhi City Gymkhana in a KCCA Inter-club League Cricket Championship match at the KCCA Stadium on Sunday.

Shaharyar blasted 89 with nine fours, Javed Qadeer struck 11 boundaries in his 82 and Akbar-ur-Rehman made 59 with six fours as Pakistan Cricket Club piled up a mammoth 358-7 in 50 overs while batting first.

Delhi City Gymkhana, in reply, were bowled out for 177 in 35.5 overs. Off-spinner Irfanuddin grabbed four wickets for 52.

Meanwhile, Rafiq Sherazi Memorial Cricket Club outplayed Late Ismail Jaffer CC by nine wickets at the Student Ground.

Opener Nasir Ansari cracked an unbeaten 85 for the winners while team-mate Zahid Ali finished 28 not out.

In another match of the tournament, played at the Pak Star ground, Punjab Cricket Club beat Nazimabad Gymkhana by 37 runs.

Pacer Fida snapped up six wickets for 39 to bowl his team to victory.
