LAHORE, Jan 14: Punjab government has directed all district nazims in the province to extend the enforcement period of Section 144 for another month, a handout said on Monday.
The directions were issued to restrain candidates from holding processions, rallies and public meetings except the permission by district government as per Election Commission rules.
The display of weapons and wall-chalking have also been prohibited
The only gatherings allowed are religious ceremonies, including Muharram Majalis, arranged by different religious sects.
