GUJRANWALA, Jan 14: The Federal Investigation Agency (passport cell) Gujranwala, on Monday claimed to have arrested 562 human agents and recovered 139 passports and other documents from their possession in 2007.

This was stated by FIA additional director Hussain Asgher at a press conference here.

He said about 3,000 people deported from Greece and Turkey had been taken into custody. Besides, 136 human agents, who sent them abroad, were also arrested.

FIA assistant director Azeem Hussain said the passport cell was established in 2004 while 273 human agents had been arrested by the end of 2006.

Meanwhile, an FIA team arrested from Islamanad airport 47 people deported from Greece on Monday.

Reports said that FIA Gujranwala passport cell additional director Hussain Asgher received in information that these people who belonged to Gujranwala have been deported and reaching the Islamabad airport.
