LAHORE, Jan 11: The Punjab government on Friday imposed a ban on pillion riding all over the province.
The ban had been slapped in view of security concerns during Muharram, Home Secretary Khusro Pervaiz Khan told Dawn. Children, women and elderly people would be exempt from the ban.
Meanwhile, it is learnt that the provincial government has called for the preparation of a sketch of the suicide bomber on the basis of eyewitness account to be furnished mainly by the policemen survived in Thursday’s suicide attack.
The home secretary said the sketch would help trace the origin of the bomber.
