PESHAWAR: Factory gutted

PESHAWAR, Jan 10: Furniture and wood material worth Rs200,000 were reduced to ashes when a fire broke out in a furniture factory near the Suzuki Stand on the Charsadda Road on Thursday morning, it is learnt.

Behroz Khan, the proprietor of the factory and a resident of the area, said the fire erupted at around 2am which was extinguished by fire brigade.

He said that a wall of the building also collapsed in the incident.

Behroz said that some people had lit a fire to keep warm themselves which might have went out of control and engulfed the factory.

An FIR was registered by police against unidentified culprits.—Reporter
