FAISALABAD, Jan 7: Scores of labourers on Monday staged a protest demonstration against electricity and gas loadshedding and flour shortage in the district.

The demonstration, led by Labour Qaumi Movement Chairman Mian Abdul Qayyum, started from Ghulam Muhammadabad and terminated at the Clock Tower intersection.

Separately, the All Pakistan Sizing Owners Association staged a protest demonstration against the gas and power loadshedding.

The association’s chairman Mirza Shafiq Ahmed led the rally that started from Susan Road and terminated at the Clock Tower intersection. Later, the protesters staged a sit-in, besieged the gas office on Sargodha Road and threw traffic out of gear for two hours.
