LAHORE, April 3: The Lahore High Court Bar Association urged the government on Wednesday to provide due protection to the members of medical profession and give compensation to the dependents of murdered doctors.

By a resolution adopted by the LHCBA general body after speeches by Doctors Yasmin Raashed and Dil Muhammad Mirza of the Pakistan Medical Association, the lawyers also called for the arrest of killers and demanded resignations by federal health and interior ministers ‘for their apathy and indifference as evidenced by their statements.’

LHCBA president Chaudhry Muzzammil Khan, Ehsan Wyne, Javed Shaukat Malik, Khwaja Mahmood and Mehrin Anwar Raja also addressed the meeting.
