SHIKARPUR, April 3: The president of the National Peoples Party (NPP), Sindh, Dr Mohammad Ibrahim Jatoi, has opposed the greater Thal canal project.

Speaking at a meet the press programme here on Wednesday, he said that 80 per cent of the population of Sindh was depending upon agricultural production.

He said that due to the persisting water shortage, resources of livelihood had been reduced in Sindh.

Dr Ibrahim Jatoi demanded to shelve the Thal canal project and provide export facilities to the growers for exporting their agricultural produce.—Correspondent
