Three buried alive

BAHAWALPUR, Jan 3: Three labourers were buried alive while digging wells in the district on Thursday.

Muhammad Sajid and Muhammad Mumtaz lost their lives in Mauza Hatheji, Ahmadpur East, when earth fell on them.

In an identical case in Jallandhur Colony, Hasilpur, another labourer, identified as Sajid, lost his life in an effort to sink a tube well.

VISIT: A PPP delegation led by Nawab Salahuddin Abbasi visited Naudero on Thursday and offered condolences to Asif Zardari over the assassination of Benazir Bhutto.

The delegation, besides others, comprised PPP candidates Farooq Azam Malik, Sardar Malik Aamir Yar Warren and Safdar Shahbaz.

Farooq Azam latter held a meeting with Zardari and discussed with him the political situation arising out of the assassination of Ms Bhutto. — Correspondent
