ABBOTTABAD, Jan 3: The Peoples Lawyers Forum organised a memorial conference at the Bar Club on Thursday to pay homage to Benazir Bhutto. The event was a well-attended one.

Quran Khwani was held in the Bar Room and Fateha was offered for the late PPP chairperson Benazir Bhutto. A condolence meeting was addressed by senior lawyers who all paid rich tribute to Ms Bhutto and remarked that she would be remembered as an icon of democracy in the world.

Earlier, on the call of the Pakistan Bar Council, the Pesha-war High Court’s Abbottabad Circuit Bench and the District Bar Association completely boycotted court proceedings. A protest camp was also set up on the premises of the High Court bench.
