HYDERABAD, April 3: Former chairman of the Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz Abdul Wahid Areesar said on Wednesday that interview of the central vice chairman of the party, Dr Niaz Kalani, who was languishing in jail, had been banned and he had become a physical and mental wreck.

He was talking to newsmen at the press club here.

He said that the JSQM leader had been locked up in a ward with 28 Nigerian prisoners who were drug addicts and added that Mr Kalani was being mentally and physically tortured.

He warned that the attitude of the jail administration could create a serious law and order problem in Hyderabad district, as the JSQM workers were very angry.

He appealed to the district Nazim to take notice of the plight of the prisoners and save them from inhuman atrocities.
