SHEIKHUPURA, Dec 26: The Saddar Muridke police on Wednesday registered a case against a constable who was allegedly campaigning for a PML-N candidate.

The police said constable Basharat was caught canvassing for the PML-N candidate for NA-131.

Meanwhile, District Police Officer Munir Chishti said effective measures would be taken to ensure peaceful conduct of polls and the 90 sensitive polling stations had been earmarked to be accorded priority.

The DPO, who was holding a press conference, urged the candidates to remain calm and cool and avoid creating lawlessness.
